We are excited to announce that our Charity of the Month for May, 2025 is the Honey Brook Food Pantry! For every referral we receive this month, $10 will be donated back to this amazing organization that makes a huge difference in our community.
Check out why Jen nominated them in this video.

Since January of 2014, the Honey Brook Food Pantry has been supplying our neighbors with food when times are tough. Their mission is to serve our neighbors “with respect while empowering them toward food security and independence”. At their Goods Food Distribution Center, those who qualify are able to pick up a 3-4 day supply of various food items.

Honey Brook faces several socioeconomic challenges that highlight the needs of its residents. The overall poverty rate in Honey Brook is 10%, notably higher than the 6% rate in Chester County as a whole. Among children under the age of 18, the situation is more severe, with a poverty rate of 22.8%—more than triple the county average of 7.5%. In the Twin Valley School District, 39% of elementary students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, indicating significant financial hardship among families. Seniors in Honey Brook are also affected, with 7% living in poverty compared to 5% countywide. Additionally, the community includes 19 mobile home parks, 15 of which are located along Route 322 and contain nearly 1,000 units, further underscoring the area’s economic vulnerability.
The Honey Brook Food Pantry has an incredible group of volunteers who stand outside at every distribution, even in the harshest of weather – rain storms, snow storms, freezing temperatures, and July summer heat temperatures! They also have a loyal set of donors who try to make sure those who are in need get what they need.
In addition to food distribution, they work with Anchored Ministries to have a clothing van at every other distribution. Career Link and PA Legal Aid also visit the pantry to provide services. The food pantry also has a Kids Backpack Program to support school age children, an Under 3 Program and a Diabetes Program to support some of their more vulnerable members of the community.
In 2023, the pantry put into place a Personal Items rotation – allowing people receive 1-2 personal items like toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, soap, and deodorant. These much needed items are expensive and not covered by SNAP or food stamps.
It’s clear that the Honey Brook Food Pantry is a vital resource for our community!

Distribution Days are the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. If you or someone you know needs assistance, visit their website to learn how to get help.
We are so proud to be able to support the Honey Brook Food Pantry this month! For every referral that we receive in May, 2025, TEN DOLLARS will be donated directly back to them.
