Serving Together at Blessings of Hope: A Day of Purpose, Teamwork & Gratitude
Yesterday, our Blue Marsh team had the privilege of spending the day volunteering at Blessings of Hope—and what an incredible experience it was. Working side-by-side, packaging food, organizing donations, and helping wherever we were needed reminded us of the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together.
Blessings of Hope plays an essential role in fighting food insecurity and bringing hope to families throughout our region.
Using a 3-step process, Blessings of Hope connects surplus food with those in our community who need it most.
1. Aquire: They use their established infrastructure to acquire surplus, market-quality food from producers and retailers before it can go to waste.
2. Transform: Blessings of Hope volunteers sort, prepare and package the food to transform it for efficient deliveries to the places with the greatest need.
3. Distribute: They work through their network of partner ministries to distribute the food in a way that can have the greatest impact. “Becoming not just a handout, but a tool to bring HOPE to the community.”
Being able to support their mission, even for a day, was both humbling and inspiring.
Throughout the day, there were countless moments of laughter, teamwork, and connection—moments that captured just how special this experience was. We’re proud to share some of those moments with you below:
Our day of service even extended to North Carolina where Mercedes volunteered her time with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina!
Every member of the Blue Marsh team showed up with heart, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Seeing everyone work together in such a meaningful way reminded us why we do what we do—not just as an insurance agency, but as people who care deeply about our community.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve, and even more grateful to be part of a team that leads with compassion.
