Her dream is to attend veterinary school and specialize in surgical procedures, using her deep compassion and empathy to care for animals who cannot speak for themselves.
In her own words:
“I embody empathy the most, which is what has led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I want to be able to advocate for these animals that cannot speak up for themselves. I care about them, and because of this I know that I will do right by every patient I have.”
Clara’s thoughtful reflection on our core values—empathy, integrity, being relational, and a passion for learning—stood out to us in a big way. She’s honest about the areas where she hopes to grow, and she expresses a sincere desire to build a life of purpose, service, and learning.
“Although I attempt integrity, I know it is something I must work on. Being relational is difficult for me, but it is a skill I admire in others and hope to one day be better at.”
We are deeply impressed by Clara’s self-awareness and her commitment to becoming the best version of herself—both personally and professionally. Her dedication to animals, eagerness to learn, and alignment with Blue Marsh’s values make her an exceptional choice for this year’s scholarship.

A little more about the Blue Marsh Scholarship
As part of our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve, we were excited to announce the Blue Marsh Scholarship, aimed at supporting local high school seniors in their pursuit of higher education. This year, we had the privilege of awarding a $500 scholarship to a deserving recipient to help them achieve their academic goals post-graduation.
In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants were tasked with reflecting on our core Blue Marsh values and selecting the one that resonated most with them. This exercise encouraged students to consider how they embody our values in their own lives and how they can contribute positively to their community.
We believe that investing in the education of our youth is a powerful way to create a brighter future for all. By offering this scholarship, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of leaders who share our commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
